yes , its a good investment, MY ONLY SUGGESTION IS THAT YOU BUY THE XBOX ELITE, because they are LESS likely to get the red rings of death. he will definetly enjoy it, i love mine and i have got to say that you cant get any better than the xbox its got the best graphics, the best online play, and the BEST games Ever, especially since halo is coming out in september do it it will knock him off his feet to see one of these and i must say they are a great media center too to watch movies off of and the Xbox live marketplace has the BET STUFF ever, lets all face it besides hardware issues with the launch xbox s the newer ones from are much more reliable and the console itself packs a punch. Just make sure its in a well venilated area and nothing in its way of breathing and set it horizontal because its less likely your will die on you and also make sure the power brick is not on the floor or behind something it also needs to breathe, but man Microsoft sure know how to put out good entertainment for EVERYONE. good luck, and once again the is the best choice youll make especially if its made from which DONT fail nearly as much as the models but then again i have a launch console and it lasted longer than most peoples, mine died days ago but now im covered thanks to Microsofts new policy you cant go wrong.
